What are the types of AI agents?

How are organizations deploying AI agents, and where does the risk sit? The Agentic Pulse answers with data from Token Security's research.

First, the report sorts agents into three types: agentic chatbots, local agents, and production agents. It then shows how access and autonomy combine to drive risk.

Two findings to start with:

  • 49.8% of all chatbots are agentic chatbots, and 29% of those are open to the whole organization.
  • 22% of local agents have direct access to production data.

You'll also get the risks specific to each agent type, the steps security teams can take to reduce them, and priorities for CISOs.
